It's called the Sartiglia ", and is one of the most popular since ancient Sardinian traditions. The term derives from the Spanish sortija, meaning ring, and is in a race where the riders to gallop their horses, they must pierce a star-shaped ring with a sword. Sartiglia is run twice a year: the last Sunday of Carnival, and the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday.

The main beaches of Porto Rotondo is fourfold:
Beach stones and algae is located in the town and is therefore ideal for those who like the sea just below the house and attend it without being moved. 
Ira Beach: This is the most famous and popular, the postcard beach of Porto Rotondo, situated between the Gulf of Porto Rotondo and to Cugnana, has a wonderful special effect color of its waters, which create an optical effect of stripes on the turquoise -blue. It is the most crowded beach.
Punta Asphodel: rage close to the beach, asphodel tip is particularly popular with windsurfing enthusiasts, attracted by the pure white beach and the sea. Many admissions but not as much anger beach.
Beach Marinella is situated about 4 km from the village, but the short trip is rewarded by the sight of the islands of puffs and Mortorio. It is the largest of four, and is well equipped for sports acuatico
Porto Rotondo Yacht Club was founded in 1985 by the brothers of Rose.
Two years later in 1987, is incorporated in the Costa Smeralda Yacht Club, owned by the Aga Khan.

Every two years the event is organized "Sails Vintage Porto Rotondo, which sees the participation of over 50 yachts of the size and disparate characteristics.
