Porto Rotondo Yacht Club was founded in 1985 by brothers Delle Rose.
Two years later in 1987, is incorporated in the Costa Smeralda Yacht Club, owned by the Aga Khan.
Ten years later, for reasons of prestige and pride of the club back to being independent.
Every two years the event is organized "Sails Vintage Porto Rotondo, which sees the participation of over 50 yachts of the size and disparate characteristics.
Participating yachts in the regatta it is vintage as the "Cambria" and "Lulworth" both of the 20's and 70's classic yacht such as "angneta" belonged lawyer Agnelli.

But there are obviously new shiny modern yachts, who see in the event a major international showcase. Extremely interesting is the clubhouse, built entirely of wood ash that envelops the visitor in a warm marinara.
