The Yacht Club Porto Rotondo was founded in 1985 by brothers Delle Rose.
Two years later in 1987, is incorporated in the Costa Smeralda Yacht Club, owned by the Aga Khan.
Ten years later, for reasons of prestige and pride of the club back to being independent.
Every two years the event is organized "Vintage Sails in Porto Rotondo," which sees the participation of over 50 yachts from many different sizes and characteristics.
Participate in the regatta it is like the vintage yacht "Cambria" and "Lulworth" both of the 20's and 70's classic yachts as "the angneta", owned by the Agnelli lawyer.

But there are of course the sparkling new modern yachts, who see in a major international showcase event. Particularly interesting is the clubhouse, built entirely of wood ash that envelops the visitor in a warm sea. Important there is also a sailing school which sits in second place in Italy as the number of subscribers and professionalism.
