Olbia, city in Sardinia and capital of the Olbia – Tempio province, it rises in a natural gulf nestled between two islands: Tavolara and Molara. They immediately catch the eye, landing in the Gulf of Olbia, the typical mussel cultivations, for which Olbia is renowned throughout Italy; in the center of the gulf instead, the maritime station of Isola Bianca is located, and the city is the backdrop to all this.

Walking around the city, you reach the historic center from Corso Umberto, and by following it you reach the Church of St. Peter and Paul: built in the 18th century, it is built in granite and has an imposing bell tower and a festive majolica dome. Continuing walking towards Via delle Terme, you can reach it with a few more steps Church of San Simplicio: built starting from the second half of the 11th century, it is built almost entirely of granite blocks, and was the city's cathedral until the 19th century. Now it remains one of the most important historical monuments in Sardinia, and inside it still preserves important remains of medieval frescoes.
